On Thursday 21 May 2026, My Baby And I hosted a free, face-to-face CV Clinic and NHS / Civil Service Application Support session at The Lagoon Centre in Paisley. The event, open to all and with no booking required, brought together mothers and community members looking to take the next confident step in their careers.
The session ran from 10:30am to 2:00pm and offered hands-on, practical support in a warm and welcoming environment — the kind of space My Baby And I is known for creating.

What the session covered
Expert support on the day included:
- ✅ CV review and improvement — tailored feedback on each person's CV
- ✅ NHS and Civil Service application guidance — step-by-step help with competency-based applications
- ✅ Interview preparation and personal statement tips
- ✅ One-to-one support from experienced facilitators
What made this session particularly special was the mix of attendees — new mothers with babies in prams sat alongside job seekers, recent graduates, and those returning to work after a career break. Everyone was welcome, and everyone left with something valuable.

Why this matters
For many of the women who attended, barriers like unfamiliarity with UK application processes, lack of professional networks, and limited confidence have made entering the workforce feel out of reach. My Baby And I exists to change that — and events like this CV Clinic are exactly how we do it.
The NHS and Civil Service were chosen as focus employers because they are two of Scotland's largest employers and actively seek diverse candidates — yet the application process can feel daunting without the right guidance. My Baby And I bridges that gap.
